Many of you guys may be pondering on how to overcome the hurt of rejection… rejection from the interview, from your boss or your loved ones. Are you full of sorrows, worries and pain. Rejoice, the victory may be closer than you think!
Did you know the fact that Jesus was brutally rejected many times. Do you think He was not one of those victims? More than you I think rejection affected Him very deeply, but, with God's help, He learned to stream the hurt into understanding and compassion, and just kept going!
This very thing happened to Jesus and is recorded by Luke 4:18 when Jesus began to read out the scroll from Isaiah 61:1,2..for which Jesus talks about being rejected by people of His own town. Further, when Jesus preached and the congregation didn't like. If you read Luke 4:28-31 "All the people in the synagogue were furious when they heard this. They got up, drove him out of the town, and took him to the brow of the hill on which the town was built, in order to throw him down the cliff (headlong). But He walked right through the crowd and went on his way. Then he went down to Capernaum (and)...began to teach the people"
Jesus has already gone through the core of rejection more than any man on the face of the earth. Isaiah 53:3 says “He was despised and rejected and forsaken by men, a Man of sorrows and pains, and like One from whom men hide their faces He was despised, and we did not appreciate His worth or have any esteem for Him” If at all you read this one scripture and ponder on it 10 times.. Jesus will destroy every negative feeling of rejection out of your life.
Jesus loves you and you are accepted by Him... and He has gone thru rejection in your place. Worry Not!
